Dr. Otto and his staff have been wonderful to work with during my total knee replacement. Being that I am only 45 years old. I was very nervous about getting a knee replacement at such a young age compared to when most people tend to get knee replacements. It was ultimately my decision to go through with it, but Dr. Otto and his staff were very knowledgeable and informative about the process, the advancements in the field, and easing my mind about the decision. I'm 75 and have had knee surgury several years ago. I do not want further surgery and Dr. Otto and his staff understand this. D. Otto helps me to deal with the knee pain, either through shots or therapy. And it is working. He is forcused on what the patient needs, not just surgery. I would reccommend his practice to everyone.

The team provided me exercises 2 weeks prior to my surgery so that the muscles were ready for the physical therapy sessions. The surgery itself could not have been better and I went home the same night. The physical Therapy team was great and helped me progress quickly.

If you are wanting your life to be completely changed, please go see Dr Otto and his staff at Southern Joint Replacement Institute. For many years, I had to use a hoveround chair, cane, walker, or anything to give me support to get around. But, in March of 2023i had my knee replaced by Dr Otto. After the recovery period, I have not used an assistive device, not even a cane!! My activity level has increased. Dr Otto gave me my life back! I am now able to do everyday activities pain free!!

On 4/2/2024 had a TKA right knee, the nursing staff, anesthesiologist, Dr. Otto, and surgery team, all did great, very organizied, very patient first.

Just did my preop and everyone was wonderful courteous, Prompt and experienced. Good information and I left there not having any questions. They covered everything. Well done!

Dr. Otto replaced my left hip in February, and my results were amazing! He gave me my quality of life back! Every part of my experience from check in to X-ray to surgery and all of the nurses and support staff was exceptional. I would highly recommend SJRI to anyone having joint issues.

Dr. Otto is an excellent doctor along with his staff that works with him. I’ve had both of my knees replaced by him and I’ve done really good. Dr.Otto answered all of my questions and concerns that I had before and after my surgeries.

I was referred to Dr Otto by my PCP after a disappointing experience with the major provider the middle TN area. Dr Otto, his staff, everyone at Southern Joint Replacement Institute, the surgical center, and the physical therapist were all outstanding. Hands down the entire team is the best, period!

Dr. Otto did my hip replacement Dec 2018 and he was awesome. Recovery was really easy, which is why I returned to him for my knee replacement and everything seems to be going well.

Went in and couldn’t walk. Dr. Otto fixed me up and I walked out the same day with no pain. I recommend D. Otto for any replacement surgery you need. A recent example when the physician assistant reported an X-ray indicated no broken bones, however due to pain level Dr. Otto ordered an MRI and he reserved a room for me at Centennial Med Ctr prior to my arrival. When I arrived patients were in the hall so, I was grateful for the bed. He is very patient answering my questions in detail. I have recommended Dr. Otto and will continue to do so.

When checking in everyone at the front desk were friendly and helpful. I was called back within minutes of my arrival to have X-rays done. Patient prep was efficient and took your individual needs into consideration. The procedure was shorter time wise than my wife anticipated, and after a period in the recovery room, I was able to stand and be discharged with a walker. After 9 days and my first therapy session behind me, I am very excited for the future. The long term pain I had is gone, the joint stability has truly surpassed my initial expectations and balance is good, at present only requiring a cane for secondary support. Thank you Dr. Otto and your team for giving me a solid opportunity to get back to enjoying life on a daily basis.

After a year of hip pain, therapy, three steroid shots, and four other doctors, we were referred to Dr. Otto for his diagnosis. In a matter of minutes he had determined there was a tear of the muscle and tendon away from the hip bone causing the pain and mobility loss. A surgery is scheduled to repair the damage, and much improvement is expected over the next few months. Dr. Otto is a very knowledgeable, and straight to the point doctor. I'm 75 and have had knee surgury several years ago. I do not want further surgery and Dr. Otto and his staff understand this. D. Otto helps me to deal with the knee pain, either through shots or therapy. And it is working. He is forcused on what the patient needs, not just surgery. I would reccommend his practice to everyone.

The team provided me exercises 2 weeks prior to my surgery so that the muscles were ready for the physical therapy sessions. The surgery itself could not have been better and I went home the same night. The physical Therapy team was great and helped me progress quickly.

For many years, I had to use a hoveround chair, cane, walker, or anything to give me support to get around. But, in March of 2023i had my knee replaced by Dr Otto. After the recovery period, I have not used an assistive device, not even a cane!! My activity level has increased. Dr Otto gave me my life back! I am now able to do everyday activities pain free!!

On 4/2/2024 had a TKA right knee, the nursing staff, anesthesiologist, Dr. Otto, and surgery team, all did great, very organizied, very patient first.

Just did my preop and everyone was wonderful courteous, Prompt and experienced. Good information and I left there not having any questions. They covered everything. Well done!

Dr. Otto replaced my left hip in February, and my results were amazing! He gave me my quality of life back! Every part of my experience from check in to X-ray to surgery and all of the nurses and support staff was exceptional. I would highly recommend SJRI to anyone having joint issues.

Dr. Otto is an excellent doctor along with his staff that works with him. I’ve had both of my knees replaced by him and I’ve done really good. Dr.Otto answered all of my questions and concerns that I had before and after my surgeries.

I was referred to Dr Otto by my PCP after a disappointing experience with the major provider the middle TN area. Dr Otto, his staff, everyone at Southern Joint Replacement Institute, the surgical center, and the physical therapist were all outstanding. Hands down the entire team is the best, period!

Dr. Otto did my hip replacement Dec 2018 and he was awesome. Recovery was really easy, which is why I returned to him for my knee replacement and everything seems to be going well.

Went in and couldn’t walk. Dr. Otto fixed me up and I walked out the same day with no pain. I recommend D. Otto for any replacement surgery you need. A recent example when the physician assistant reported an X-ray indicated no broken bones, however due to pain level Dr. Otto ordered an MRI and he reserved a room for me at Centennial Med Ctr prior to my arrival. When I arrived patients were in the hall so, I was grateful for the bed. He is very patient answering my questions in detail. I have recommended Dr. Otto and will continue to do so.

When checking in everyone at the front desk were friendly and helpful. I was called back within minutes of my arrival to have X-rays done. When Dr.Otto’s nurse called me back to the room she also was very pleasant to talk to. Dr.Otto updated me on how the X-rays looked. He then answered all my questions. My appointment was complete. Patient prep was efficient and took your individual needs into consideration. The procedure was shorter time wise than my wife anticipated, and after a period in the recovery room, I was able to stand and be discharged with a walker. After 9 days and my first therapy session behind me, I am very excited for the future. The long term pain I had is gone, the joint stability has truly surpassed my initial expectations and balance is good, at present only requiring a cane for secondary support. Thank you Dr. Otto and your team for giving me a solid opportunity to get back to enjoying life on a daily basis.

I felt that my experience was most positive. I really liked Dr. Otto and his communication style. He answered all my questions and and showed sincerity in his approach. His team was excellent and their patient interaction was great.

After a year of hip pain, therapy, three steroid shots, and four other doctors, we were referred to Dr. Otto for his diagnosis. In a matter of minutes he had determined there was a tear of the muscle and tendon away from the hip bone causing the pain and mobility loss. A surgery is scheduled to repair the damage, and much improvement is expected over the next few months. Dr. Otto is a very knowledgeable, and straight to the point doctor. We only wished we had found him a year ago!
